Persistently overwhelmed paleontologist David Huxley (Cary Grant) is pressured to impress Mrs. Random (May Robson), a societal matron and the potential donor of one million dollars to his museum. Huxley becomes quickly ensnared in the eccentricities of Mrs. Random’s vibrant young niece, Susan Vance (Katharine Hepburn), who (despite having just met him the day before he is to be wed), swiftly falls for the conventionally rigid scientist. From missing dinosaur bones, to pet leopards, the escalating chaos threatens to be an all-consuming endeavor for the harried Huxley.
